Got Myself A Gun

Get Gangsta

Former star of The Sopranos, Drea de Mateo

Can't you hear it..? Alabama 3 and what is now a trademark jam...That deep bass...Those...Interesting background sounds...And then, the singing starts....Low, heavy, intense...Purposeful...

"
You woke up this morning
Got yourself a gun,
Mama always said you'd be
The Chosen One."

Damn...What is it that we love about being gangsta..? I can't exactly give a good, honest opinion on it...What I do know, is that there are approximately three things I watch on television...And the only one that I won't miss is The Sopranos...The show is well written, well acted, and even though I couldn't tell you shit about a gangster's life, it SEEMS realistic enough...

Come to think of it, maybe I like it so much cause Tony's this mobster, who has what mystics tend to call an aura, that attracts men to follow and women to be with...For the average guy like myself who is in no danger of becoming a supermodel any time soon, it lets you know what's really worth having in this world...A mind that can't be penetrated, a helluva left hook, and balls made of adamantium that drag the floor wherever you go...Tony is a man's man, and doesn't want to be liked...He wants to be respected...Deep down, or maybe not so deep, all real men would probably like to innately emit a similar presence on those they come into contact with...

On the obvious side, Tony is rich as shit, bangs hot chicks on a regular, and has a pretty hot stay at home wife...So, here's to shittin' all over my last paragraph... :D I don't know why I feel the need to rationalize some things...I just do...At least it means I'm thinking, and that's more than I can say for 94% of the people I come into contact with...Without further adieu, here is the other reason I watched The Sopranos, Drea de Mateo...Any episode with her in her skivvies was a good one, and one that I'll never forget...
